And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to bloom”. - Anais Nin
Asking for help takes courage. It can be the turning point to healing the pain or blockages to revealing your greatest truths, strengths and resilience. While therapy does not take the pain of the past away, it allows for the healing to take place. For feelings to be validated, for the journey of self love and growth to flourish. In my therapy practice I work with teens and adults that struggle trauma, both developmental and situational. I work with people in recovery from addictions and food and body image concerns. Mood concerns such as depression and anxiety often accompany these aforementioned issues and other stage of life concerns. My style is relational in nature and I use specialized modalities of treatment for trauma a including the Trauma Resiliency Model, and Brainspotting. I am 12-step friendly and appreciate creative outlets for healing such as art, music, writing and yoga. I enjoy mindful practices including various types of meditation.
